Selecting a Group of Messages Selects Incorrect Items

SYMPTOMS

When you select a group of messages in Internet Mail or Internet News and then sort the messages in a different order, an incorrect set of messages may be selected.

CAUSE

The order of the messages is not updated until a new item is selected, resulting in an incorrect selection.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Internet Mail and News version 1.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
