PRB: Problems Using "B" Related Functions in VBScript

Microsoft Internet Explorer (Programming) version 4.0, used with:
- UNIX on Sun Solaris

SYMPTOMS

Internet Explorer might fail when running script written in Visual Basic Scripting Edition that includes a byte ("B") type function.

The following byte ("B") related functions in the Visual Basic Scripting Edition are not supported in Internet Explorer 4.0 for Unix on Sun Solaris:

If you use these functions in a Web page, you get the following scripting error (as long as the script error dialog box has not been disabled):
