The information in this article applies to:
SYMPTOMSWhen using the CopyWeb feature in Visual InterDev, the default document name of the Web project is renamed to a different filename.
CAUSEThe FrontPage server extensions incorrectly rename the default document to the name of the default document on the new server. If multiple documents are specified in the Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) setting, the default document is renamed to the value of the actual setting.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this bug and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
