FIX: Data Connection Icons Not Displayed for global.asa

SYMPTOMS

Visual InterDev does not display data connection icons in Link View for global.asa when the project is located on a Japanese server.

Expected: A data connection to be displayed from the global.asa file.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This bug has been corrected in Visual Studio 97, Service Pack 1.

Steps to Reproduce Behavior

  1. Open a web project where the web is located on a Japanese server.
2. Make a data connection if global.asa does not already have one. 3. Open Link View on global.asa

Result: No data connection icon is displayed
