The "New Class..." item on the Shortcut menu displayed by right-clicking in ClassView becomes disabled after changing the Active Java Project configuration.
1. Select Insert.New Class... from the Main menu as an alternative.
2. Setting the Active configuration to the one that was active when the
project was initially open enables the "New Class..." item in the
ClassView shortcut menu.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
1. Create a default Java Applet Wizard project.
2. In ClassView right-click to display the Shortcut Menu. The "New
Class..." Shortcut menu item is enabled.
3. Select Build.Set Active Configuration.
4. Set the configuration to a configuration not currently set.
5. In Classview right-click to display the Shortcut menu. "New Class..."
Shortcut menu item is disabled.
