FIX: Correct Format for VM Version Number in the RegistryID: Q178996
|
When you download the Microsoft virtual machine build 2252 that comes with Internet Explorer 4.0 and also the Microsoft SDK 2.0 for Java, the version number of the Microsoft virtual machine build in the registry is listed as 4.79.2252 instead of 4,79,2252,0.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem has been fixed in virtual machine build 2339 or above that ships with Internet Explorer 4.01 and the SDK for Java 2.01 or above. This issue has no known impact on either the running or upgrading of the Microsoft virtual machine.
