The information in this article applies to:
If you have created a command extension with a toolbar containing bitmap buttons, the order of the bitmaps changes when you switch to the Calendar and/or Contacts views in the Outlook client. Only the bitmaps on the buttons are changed; the order of the buttons themselves and the functionality they perform is not changed.
For example, if the original order for the bitmaps on the toolbar buttons is A, B, C, D, E, then after switching to the Calendar or Contact view, the order of the bitmaps appears to be B, C, D, E, E. Switching to the Contacts view from the original view changes the order to D, E, C, D, E. Toggling between the Calendar and Contacts views results in yet another order for the same set of buttons.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This bug has been corrected in Microsoft Exchange Client version 5.5 and Microsoft Outlook version 8.03.
