A Window Scrolls When You Press the ARROW Keys

SYMPTOMS

When you press the ARROW keys on the numeric keypad on the keyboard, a window on the screen may scroll.


CAUSE

This behavior can occur if both of the following features are enabled:


RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue, disable either the MouseKeys feature or the IntelliMouse wheel.

MouseKeys Feature

To turn off the MouseKeys feature, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.


  2. Double-click Accessibility Options.


  3. Click the Mouse tab.


  4. Click the Use MouseKeys check box to clear it.


  5. Click OK.


IntelliPoint Wheel

To disable the IntelliMouse wheel, follow these steps:

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.


  2. Double-Click Mouse.


  3. Click the Wheel tab.


  4. Click the Turn On The Wheel check box to clear it.


  5. Click OK.
