When installing your Microsoft Mouse software to a floppy disk, the Microsoft Mouse Setup program expects an MS-DOS system disk in the destination drive if it needs to alter the AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
If you would like Setup to install to a floppy disk and you want it to alter the AUTOEXEC.BAT file, you must have an MS-DOS system disk in the destination drive. If it is not, the following message will be displayed:
