The Mswheel program is designed to unload itself if it detects that the operating system has built-in support for the wheel. The only operating systems with built-in support for the wheel are Microsoft Windows NT Server version 4.0 and Microsoft Windows NT Workstation version 4.0.

The Mswheel program runs in the following versions of Microsoft Windows:

Microsoft Windows 95 retail release (version 4.00.950)
Microsoft Windows 95 OEM Service Release 1 (version 4.00.950a)
Microsoft Windows 95 OEM Service Release 2 (version 4.00.950b)

You can determine the version of Windows you are running by following these steps:

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.


  2. Double-click System. The version of Windows you are running is listed on the General Tab under System.
