In QuickHelp, if you choose Duplicate Search from the View menu and enter a search string containing a wildcard, all the topics that match that string should appear but sometimes don't. When they don't all appear, the help topic titles are no longer synchronized with the information in the topic. As a result, when you select a topic, the information displayed belongs to a different topic.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in QuickHelp versions 1.7 and 1.83 for MS-DOS and OS/2. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
For example, this problem occurs when searching on _dos* with the CLANG.HLP help file that comes with Microsoft C version 6.0. It also occurs when searching for wm_* in the SDKADV.HLP help file that comes with the Windows version 3.0 Software Development Kit (SDK). In both cases, if you go to the end of the list of topics and bring up the information, the wrong information is displayed.
