The information in this article applies to:

SYMPTOMS

When Microsoft CodeView (CVW) runs on a single monitor system in 43 or 50 line mode, the bottom portion of the CVW display is missing from the screen.

CAUSE

The WIN.INI file specifies a Terminal font that is too large to display the requested number of lines in the largest available window.

RESOLUTION

Use a text editor to modify the WIN.INI file and place a semicolon (;) at the beginning of the line that specifies the Terminal font. Close and restart Windows and run CVW.

MORE INFORMATION

Part 8 of the DETAILS.TXT file, provided with Microsoft C/C++ version 7.0 and installed by default into the C:\C700 directory, explains how to view more information in CVW by changing the OEMFONTS.FON line in the SYSTEM.INI file. However, any Terminal font specified in the WIN.INI file overrides the OEMFONTS.FON selection. The problem indicated above occurs when the specified Terminal font is too large.
