IMS: SQL Server Username/Password Logged in Event Log

SYMPTOMS

When a new routing source is added in SMTP, the following event log is created, which indicates the password in clear text:

   1 routing source(s) added:     Type=15, Server=SERVERA, DB=ABOOK,
   User=acctdbo, Pass=acctdbo

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Commercial Internet System version 1.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
