The Microsoft Internet Control Pack (also referred to as the Internet ActiveX Controls) is a series of ActiveX controls that gives developers direct access to the most up-to-date Internet protocols (WinSockTCP, WinSockUDP, FTP, HTTP, HTML, POP, SMTP, and NNTP) in applications developed using Microsoft Visual Basic, Visual FoxPro, Visual C++, and Access. While these controls are very powerful, support for them is limited.
The Microsoft Internet Control Pack (ICP) web site on http://www.microsoft.com/icp provides you with everything you need to know to use the Internet ActiveX Controls, including samples and FAQs and in- depth discussion of each control. Other than the information provided on this web site, Microsoft does not provide support for any of these controls.
