Access Logon Dialog Box Hidden by MOM ToolbarID: Q124767
|
If you are using Microsoft Office Manager (MOM) to start Microsoft Access 2.0, your computer may appear to hang because the Logon dialog box for Microsoft Access is hidden behind the Microsoft Access title screen.
When you start Microsoft Access 2.0 from the Microsoft Office Manager
toolbar, the title screen for Microsoft Access appears. If have set up a
password for Microsoft Access, you will be prompted with a Logon dialog
box. Once you type in your user id and password, Microsoft Access is
started. Normally, the Logon dialog box will appear so that the top part of
the dialog box is above the title screen.
If you move the Logon dialog box so that it is completely within the
Microsoft Access title screen, and you then choose the Microsoft Access
toolbar button on the MOM toolbar, the Logon dialog box will be hidden
behind the title screen, and you will be unable to select it.
To work around this problem, use either of the following methods:
Method 1: If an application window is open, minimize it to redisplay the Logon dialog.
Method 2: Use the Windows Task List to minimize an application so that you can see the Logon dialog box:
You will now be able to see the Logon dialog box.
- If all applications are minimized, double-click the Windows Desktop to display the Windows Task List.
- From the Task List, select any program (except Microsoft Office Manager) from the list, and choose Switch To.
- Minimize the application.
