Err Msg: False Error with CONTROL.INF and SETUP.INFID: Q124769

When you run Setup from the Microsoft Office CD, Microsoft Office is
installed as if it were installed from a network. With this type of
installation, the Windows Setup icon and the Control panel icon do not work
correctly if you add them to the MOM toolbar.
If you add the Control panel or Windows Setup icon to the MOM toolbar, and
then choose Printer, and choose Add, you receive one of the following error
messages:
The dialog box remains, even when you click OK to dismiss it.The information file is damaged or not in the SYSTEM directory.
Copy the original CONTROL.INF or SETUP.INF on Windows disk 1 to
your SYSTEM directory, or contact your device manufacturer to get
a new information file.
If you click OK, the error message goes away and you can continue with other operations.The SETUP.INF file on your system is not valid for use with
this version of setup. If you continue setup, you may encounter
problems. You should quit setup and replace SETUP.INF with the
version on your windows disks. See the documentation for information
about copying Windows files directly to your computer.
This problem occurs because when you perform a network installation of Microsoft Office, Office cannot find the SETUP.INF or .CPL files.
