CHANGING THE WORKING DIRECTORY FOR A MOM TOOLBAR BUTTON OR MENU ITEM
You can change the working directory for MOM toolbar buttons and menu
items. In addition, you can change the Working Directory setting for Office
applications in Program Manager. Because each of these items can have its
own working directory, and because these settings are independent, it is
important to change the working directory in all places.
NOTE: Some applications (such as Word 6.0 and Microsoft Excel 5.0) have a
setting in their respective INI files that will override the working
directory settings in both MOM and Program Manager.
For additional information, please see the following article(s) in the
Microsoft Knowledge Base:

For more information about the working directory and what it does, do the
following:
- Choose the Search button in Office Help and type the following:
Working Directory
- Select the Add Program topic, and choose Go To.
- Choose the Working Directory topic.
CHANGING THE REGISTERED LOCATION OF AN APPLICATION
Although you can see the registered location of an Office component in the
Edit Program Item dialog box (from the Office menu, choose Customize, and
then choose the Edit button), you cannot change the registered location for
an application from MOM.
To ensure correct registration of Office applications, run the Office Setup
program and choose the Remove/Add button to remove or add Office
components.
