To resolve this problem, close any open dialog boxes in the Visual Basic Editor before you close Binder.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
When you insert a Microsoft Excel workbook or a Microsoft Word document
into Binder, almost all of the functionality for each program is available,
including programming in the Visual Basic Editor.
When you display the Visual Basic Editor, display a dialog box within the
Visual Basic Editor, and then close the Binder program, the displayed
dialog box may prevent the Visual Basic Editor from quitting correctly. As
a result, you may receive one or more of the error messages described in
this article.
Note that this problem does not occur when you work with Microsoft
PowerPoint 97 presentations in Binder; however, Microsoft recommends that
you close all open dialog boxes in the Visual Basic Editor before you close
Binder.
