Office for Windows NT Applications Use Same Custom DictionaryID: Q124740
|
When you install Microsoft Office version 4.2 for Windows NT, each of the Office applications use the same custom dictionary file, CUSTOM.DIC, even though you install each application individually, using a separate Setup program for each.
Microsoft Office version 4.2 for Windows NT includes Microsoft Word
for Windows NT, Microsoft Excel for Windows NT and Microsoft
PowerPoint for Windows. Even though each application has its own
separate Setup program, all three applications use the same custom
dictionary file, CUSTOM.DIC. This is also true if you perform a
workstation installation of any one or all of the Microsoft Office
applications.
Note that Microsoft Excel and Word are 32-bit applications, and
Microsoft PowerPoint is a 16-bit application.
