The information in this article applies to:
When you run the Microsoft Office version 4.2c (DMF CCP Upgrade) Setup program, Setup may continue to request Disk 8 even when you insert the Setup disk labeled Disk 8 and continue with Setup.
This problem occurs because a small batch of one of the CCP builds of Microsoft Office version 4.2c has two Disk 7 disks. Although the disks appear to be labeled in the correct order, the contents of the Setup disk labeled "Disk 8" is really the contents of Setup Disk 7. When the Setup program requests Disk 8, and you insert the disk labeled Disk 8, Setup recognizes the disk as Disk 7 and continues to request that you insert Disk 8.
Note that the disk labeled "Setup Disk 7" is the correct Disk 7.
Microsoft apologizes for any inconvenience this problem has caused you. We have verified that the batch of disks that have this problem are no longer being manufactured.
To work around this problem, call the Microsoft Sales Information Center at (800) 426-9400 to obtain a new set of disks free of charge.
