The information in this article applies to:
After you perform a workstation installation of Microsoft Office, when you choose Office Setup And Uninstall from the Microsoft Office menu on the MOM toolbar, the Microsoft PowerPoint Setup program runs instead of the Microsoft Office Manager Setup.
This behavior only occurs after you perform a workstation installation of Microsoft Office; that is, a workstation installation of each of the Microsoft Office applications in the following order: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, then Microsoft Office Manager.
This behavior does not occur when you perform a Complete/Custom installation of the Microsoft Office applications.
To run the Setup program for any of the Microsoft Office applications in maintenance mode, after performing a workstation installation of the applications, run the Setup program from the individual application's directory on the network server.
To remove the Office Setup And Uninstall command from the Microsoft Office menu on the MOM toolbar, do the following:
1. From the Microsoft Office menu, choose Customize.
2. Select the Menu tab.
3. In the list of menu items, clear the Office Setup And Uninstall check
box, and choose OK.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
