SYMPTOMSIf you import a Microsoft Excel worksheet that contains more than 16,384 rows of data into a Microsoft Access database, the resulting table may be truncated to 16,384 records.
CAUSEThis behavior may occur if both of the following conditions are true:
RESOLUTIONTo resolve this problem, open the workbook from which you are importing the worksheet data in Microsoft Excel before you run the Import Wizard in Microsoft Access.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
MORE INFORMATIONYou can import or link data from a Microsoft Excel 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, 7.0, or 97 worksheet. You can also import or link (read-only) data from a Lotus 1-2-3 spreadsheet. In both cases, the data in the worksheet must be arranged in an appropriate tabular format. Before you proceed, make sure that the worksheet has the same type of data in each field (column) and the same fields in every row. You can import or link all the data from a worksheet, or you can link only the data from a named range of cells. Although you normally create a new table in Microsoft Access for the data, you can also append the data to an existing table if the worksheet column headings match the table field names or if the column order is the same.
