The information in this article applies to:
In Microsoft Outlook 97, when you export a folder to a Personal Address Book (PAB), you have no option to specify a target PAB; it always goes to the current PAB.
When you export a folder, such as a Contact folder, to a PAB you cannot select a PAB file to receive the data. The exported data always goes into your current PAB. This behavior is by design. This function is designed to add data to the current PAB.
1. On Outlook's File menu, click "Import and Export."
2. In the "Import and Export Wizard" dialog box, click to select "Export
to a file" and then click Next.
3. In the "Export to a File" dialog box, click to select the folder from
which you want to export and then click Next.
4. Click to select "Personal Address Book" and then click Next.
RESULTS: At this point you see the Map Custom Fields dialog box; you cannot choose a file name for the exported data. If you continue, the data will be placed in your current PAB.
