This article describes how to use Microsoft Outlook 97 to define and apply custom views to a public folder so that other users are able to see the changes you've made.
Defining a Global View to a Public Folder
To make your custom view available to all users of the public folder, follow these steps:
1. Select the Outlook object for which you are creating the new view.
2. On the View menu, click Define Views and click New.
3. Under "Can be used on" click to select, "this folder, visible to
everyone."
4. Enter the name you have chosen for the view and click to select the View
Type from the list.
5. Click OK and define the remaining format options for the view you are
creating.
7. Click OK, and Apply View.
The view you defined will be available to all users that have been given permissions to that public folder.
