In Microsoft Outlook 97, the Map Custom Fields button in the Import A File dialog box is not available when you try to import data from another program or file.
In the Import A File dialog box, the Import check box is not selected in the "The following actions will be performed" dialog box.
Click to select the Import check box in the "The following actions will be performed" dialog box. The Map Custom Fields button will then be available.
To import data into Outlook from another program or file, follow these steps:
1. On the File menu, click Import And Export.
2. In the Import And Export Wizard, select "Import from Schedule+ or
another program or file," and click Next.
3. Select the appropriate file type and click Next.
4. Type the full path and name of the incoming file and click Next.
5. Select the folder into which you want to import the data and click Next.
6. Click to select the Import check box in the "The following actions
will be performed" dialog box. The Map Custom Fields button is now
available.
7. Click the Map Custom Fields button.
8. Map the fields from the incoming file to the Outlook file as desired and
click OK.
9. Click Finish.
