The information in this article applies to:
When you start Microsoft Outlook 97 with a command-line switch to open in a folder other than the default, the Outlook Bar does not display.
When you use a command-line switch to open a specific folder within Outlook, the View Outlook Bar command defaults to off. Outlook does not provide a command-line switch to control the View Outlook Bar command.
Use one of the following methods to display the Outlook Bar:
After starting Outlook, on the View menu, click Outlook Bar.
After starting Outlook, press ALT+V, then press the O key.
To start Outlook directly in a folder named Other Folder:
1. Click Start, then click Run.
2. Type,
      OUTLOOK.EXE /select "Outlook:\\My_PST\Other Folder"
   and then click OK.
NOTE: Do not delete the quotation marks. Substitute the name of your
Personal Folder for "My_PST" in the example above.
