OL97: Synchronizing Outlook Items with Windows CE Items

SUMMARY

Microsoft Outlook 97 does not include any converters or synchronization files for directly importing or exporting Microsoft Windows CE items. However, the new release of H/PC Explorer 1.1, allows you to synchronize your Outlook items with your handheld personal computer.

H/PC Explorer 1.1 is a revision to the desktop software that supports handheld personal computers running Windows CE. H/PC Explorer 1.1 provides all the functionality of the original version, and incorporates support for Windows NT Workstation 4.0 and Windows 95 synchronization with Outlook 97.

Note: H/PC Explorer 1.1 supports handheld personal computers that run Windows CE 1.0 only. It does not support the newer generation of devices that run Windows CE 2.0.

Installing H/PC Explorer 1.1 also adds the PMail extension to the Outlook Add-In Manager.
