When you configure Proxy Server version 2.0 to route client web requests to an upstream proxy server, all requests will be forwarded. This includes URL requests in the web browser designated with an IP address or a domain name, including local and remote requests.

MORE INFORMATION

A firewall in between the upstream and downstream proxy servers could prevent a route back into the Local Area Network (LAN) to the client or to the requested internal web server.
