ACC: Device Independent Bitmap in Paste Special Dialog TwiceID: Q114550
|
Novice: Requires knowledge of the user interface on single-user computers.
The Paste Special dialog box displays the following two choices for Device
Independent Bitmap (DIB)
Picture (Device Independent Bitmap)
Device Independent Bitmap
When you copy a Picture object to the Clipboard, Microsoft Access places Picture (Device Independent Bitmap) on the Clipboard, and then OLE code also places a Picture object on the Clipboard. Note that using the Paste Special command in other applications, such as Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Word for Windows, may give similar results or additional combinations of the object.
Either of the two choices results in the same action. No extra memory is used to store extra objects--all the items in the list point to the same object.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Access 2.0, 7.0, and 97.
For more information about inserting objects, search the Help Index for "inserted objects, creating and inserting."
