BUG: Automation Events Not Received by VBasic Applications

SYMPTOMS

Visual SourceSafe is not able to receive automation events from Visual Basic.

CAUSE

An error in the type library causes this functionality to not work.

RESOLUTION

At the present time the only way to receive automation events from Visual SourceSafe is from a Visual C++ application.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. We are researching this bug and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
