SYMPTOMSIf you use the OS/2 Bulk Copy Program (BCP.EXE) with a /L parameter to copy a fixed number of rows to a file, BCP.EXE may give you a spurious error message. For example, if the table name is mem6, and you use /L2000 as the parameter, BCP.EXE may give you this spurious error message:
DB-LIBRARY error: The table 'mem6' contains only 2000 rows. Copying up to row 2000 is not possible. BCP copy out failed. WORKAROUNDIgnore the spurious error message. BCP.EXE has successfully copied the requested number of rows.
STATUSMicrosoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server version 4.2 for OS/2. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
