BUG: Can Not Change Recurring Tasks to Once a Day in SEMID: Q142456
|
The SQL Enterprise Manager Task Scheduling dialog box does not accept once a day tasks. This happens only when you change a task from recurring to once a day. When you change the task to occur once a day from a recurring task, it still retains the recurring schedule.
You can set the start and end times of the task so that it occurs only once a day. For example, if you want to schedule a task at 5:00 P.M. daily, choose the schedule to be 'Recurring task,' occuring every five minutes, and set the start time to 5:00 P.M. and end time to 5:01 P.M. This would schedule the task only once at 5:00 P.M. An alternate workaround is to delete this task and create a new task with the desired schedule.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft SQL Server Version 6.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
