BUG: Data in Sysbackuphistory Table Not Displayed in GUI

SYMPTOMS

When you do a "select * from sysbackuphistory" in the msdb database, all the columns after operator_name show no data in the results set for table dumps. Full database dumps show all information. The columns have data in them; you can see this by selecting the individual fields with:


   select backupstart, backupfinish from sysbackuphistory

This problem only occurs in the GUI tools. Command line isql will display all the information in the results set.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft SQL Server version 6.5. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
