BUG: DocErr: Books Online Missing Concatenation Operator (+)ID: Q147631
|
Microsoft SQL Server "Books Online" is missing the plus sign concatenation operator (+) in many places.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft SQL Server version 6.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
The following are examples of where the concatention operator is missing in
"Books Online":
SELECT 'The price is ' CONVERT(varchar(12), price)
FROM titles
WHERE price > 10.00
SELECT 'The date is ' CONVERT(varchar(12), getdate())
DECLARE @returnmessage varchar(255)
SELECT @returnmessage = 'This record was updated on ' +
RTRIM(CONVERT(char(30), GETDATE())) + '.'
PRINT @returnmessage
