If you remove a primary key from a table by using the Manage Tables dialog box in SQL Enterprise Manager, the key symbol(s) in front of the key column(s) disappears as expected.
However, if you now add a new primary key, the key symbol(s) in front of the previous key columns reappears. Only when you press the Save Table button do these incorrect key symbols correctly disappear again.
Save the table definition.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft SQL Server version 6.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
