BUG: SQL-DMO Scripting Does Not Add Identity Property

SYMPTOMS

The Generate Scripts option of SQL-DMO (which is used by SQL Enterprise Manager) will not create the identity property on a table that does have an IDENTITY column.

WORKAROUND

You can either generate the script with the 'Table DRI' option; modify the script generated by SQL-DMO to add the identity property; or keep the script the table was created with.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft SQL Server version 6.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
