BUG: Temporary Tables Not Dropped When Tempdb Is FullID: Q105032
|
BUG# OS/2: 1764 (4.2)
NT: 437 (4.2)
When tempdb becomes full, any temporary tables created will not get dropped when the transaction finishes.
SQL Server does not release the temporary tables correctly when tempdb is full.
Restart the SQL Server; this will clean up the temporary tables.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server version 4.2 for OS/2 and Microsoft SQL Server version 4.2. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
