BUG: Variable in Cursor Declaration Can Cause Client AVID: Q148268
|
Assigning values of table columns to variables inside a cursor declaration
can cause a client access violation (AV). Ideally, this should give a
syntax error because variable assignment is not allowed in a cursor
declaration.
Make sure that the cursor declaration is according to syntax of cursor declaration statement.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in SQL Server version 6.0. Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
