FIX: Error 107 When Creating a View with a UNION Clause

SYMPTOMS

A view defined with a UNION clause and a correlated subquery will fail with error 107.

WORKAROUND

To work around this problem, redefine the view so that it does not contain both a UNION clause and a correlated subquery clause.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft SQL Server version 6.5. This problem has been corrected in U.S. Service Pack 2 for Microsoft SQL Server version 6.5. For more information, contact your primary support provider.
