PRB: No Error Occurs When Adding Trigger That Exists

SYMPTOMS

SQL Server allows a trigger to be overwritten without an error message.

CAUSE

By design, creating a new trigger of the same type (INSERT, DELETE, or UPDATE) on a table where a trigger is already defined is allowed in SQL Server.
