Summary:

In Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh versions 2.2 and 2.2a, attempting to evaluate the result of the EXTRACT command function while stepping through a macro can cause unexpected results and can cause a system crash. This behavior occurs only while in the step mode of the macro's execution.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Excel versions 2.2 and 2.2a. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Excel version 3.0.
