SUMMARY

When you print to the InterFax modem by Abaton from Microsoft Excel version 2.20, do the following:

  1. From the File menu, choose Print, and give the spool file a name.

  2. Click OK.

  3. Excel will say "Printing Page 1" and the driver will prompt you for another name. Enter the same name you entered in the Print dialog box in step 1.

  4. Click Yes in answer to the message "Replace File with Same Name?"

With Excel version 1.50, the InterFax driver gives only one prompt for a spool filename; there are two prompts in Excel 2.20. It is very important that you enter the same name for both prompts; otherwise, the fax machine reads the file as corrupt and cannot send it correctly.

Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available.
