Excel 3-D Charts Don't Display WYSIWYG Shading When Printed

SUMMARY

In Microsoft Excel, 3-D charts display shading to give the 3-D appearance on the screen. (A 3-D column shows the top and one side shaded darker than the front surface of the column.) This shading does not print the same as it appears on the screen.

To see an accurate representation of how the chart will print, use the Print Preview feature.

There is no method to format specific surfaces of a column and change the shading. The entire column must be selected to perform any formatting.
