This article shows you how to create a sample Visual Basic for Applications function called FindEOM() that accepts a date as an argument and returns the last day of the month.

This article assumes that you are familiar with Visual Basic for Applications and with creating Microsoft Access applications using the programming tools provided with Microsoft Access. For more information about Visual Basic for Applications, please refer to your version of the "Building Applications with Microsoft Access" manual.

The sample code below demonstrates how to set up the FindEOM() function. Enter the following in a new or existing module:

Use the following sample expression to call the FindEOM() function:

   =FindEOM(#5/5/94#)

To view the results of the FindEOM() function, type the following line in the module's Debug window (or Immediate window in versions 1.x and 2.0), and the press ENTER:

   ?FindEOM(#5/5/94#)
