Excel: Cannot Open an Alias from a Macro

SUMMARY

You cannot open aliases created under Apple Macintosh System 7.0 with a macro in Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh version 2.2, 3.0 or 4.0. The file_text argument for the OPEN() function must contain the name of the actual file rather than its alias.
