The information in this article applies to:
If you record a macro to close the Slide Miniature by clicking the Miniature's Close Window button (the X in the upper-right corner of the window), the action is not recorded and the macro fails.
You can record a macro that closes the Slide Miniature by doing the following:
1. On the View menu, click Slide Miniature.
This displays the Slide Miniature.
2. On the Tools Menu, point to Macro, and then click Record New Macro.
3. In the Macro name box, enter a name for the macro (Close_Miniature,
for example).
NOTE: The first character of the name must be a letter. Other
characters can be letters, numbers, or the underscore character.
Because spaces aren't allowed in a macro, an underscore works well
as a word separator.
4. To change the description of the macro, edit the information in the
Description box, and then click OK.
5. Click on Slide Miniature on the View Menu to close the miniature.
6. To stop recording your macro, click Stop Recording on the Stop Recording
Toolbar.
Microsoft is researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
