When you use the HasHorizontal or HasVertical Properties on a single specified object(for example, a single table cell or paragraph), the property returns True instead of False as expected. Visual Basic for Applications Help for these properties states the properties should return False for a single specified object, as in the following:
HasHorizontal/HasVertical Property
----------------------------------
True if a vertical border can be applied to the specified object.
The remarks section for these properties further states:
Vertical borders can be applied to ranges that contain cells in two or
more columns of a table.
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article.
The Visual Basic for Applications Help information is misleading. A horizontal or vertical border can also be applied to a range that contains a single cell in a single row of a table or to a single paragraph.
