In the versions of Microsoft Excel listed above, if you use the ActiveCell property in conjunction with the FormulaArray property, the resulting formula may not be entered as an array, as in the following example:
ActiveCell.FormulaArray = "=SUM(A1:A10)"

To work around this problem, use the Offset method to accomplish the same
effect, as in the following example:
ActiveCell.Offset(0, 0).FormulaArray = "=SUM(A1:A10)"
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft products listed at the beginning of this article. This problem was corrected in Microsoft Excel 97 for Windows and Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition.
