Excel: "Not Enough Memory" When Default Size Not Specified

SUMMARY

In Microsoft Excel version 3.0 for Windows, if you set the default font in your EXCEL.INI file to be a TrueType font, and if do not include a font size, you will receive the following error message when you attempt to run Microsoft Excel: 

   Not Enough Memory to Run Microsoft Excel.

You can specify the default font in your EXCEL.INI file, by adding the following line to the [Microsoft Excel] section of the file: 

   font=<font>,<size>
If the font is set to a screen or a printer font and the size is omitted, the error message will not occur; however, the specified font will default to a size of 1.

NOTE: In Microsoft Excel version 4.0, the error message will not occur when a TrueType or other type of font is specified. If you do not indicate a font size in the EXCEL4.INI file, it will default to 1.
