In Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications, you cannot use Paste as a method of the Range Object. Because the Paste method is selection- dependent, you must make a selection before you can use the method.
If you do not, you may receive one of the following error messages:
Range does not have Paste method
-or-
Run-time error '438':
Object doesn't support this property or method

To paste data in a Visual Basic procedure without moving the active cell,
do either of the following:
Range("A1").Copy Destination:=Range("A2")
-or-
ActiveSheet.Paste Destination:=Range("A2")
If you use the Macro Recorder, and click Paste on the Edit menu, the following command is recorded:
ActiveSheet.Paste
This command must be preceded by a command that selects the cell or the
range into which the information should be pasted.
